XOStem Technologies, News & Publications

Research by XOStem scientists is currently focused on two major goals:

  1. Development of Engineered Exosomes as therapeutics that address the neuroinflammatory process associated with dementias, traumatic encephalopathy, multiple sclerosis, and other CNS disorders.
  2. Refinement, testing and market deployment of a proprietary implantable bio-compatible “artificial pancreas” for long-term management of type 1 diabetes. Prior animal research by XOStem scientists demonstrated specialized exosomes have value in promoting the vascularization and reducing the immunologic reactivity of such a device, both important attributes of an effective long-duration device.
